Salt Therapy

What is it?

Dry salt therapy, or halotherapy, works naturally to boost lung function and relieve symptoms of common respiratory and skin conditions such as asthma, allergies, cough, cold, COPD, cystic fibrosis, dermatitis, acne, eczema and psoriasis.  Micro-particles of pharmaceutical-grade salt are dispersed through the air of a cabin while clients sit comfortably and breathe the salt-infused air.

How and why does it work?

Salt has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is very absorbent and helps to loosen mucus.  Dry salt attracts pollutants and allergens throughout the respiratory tract and stimulates the body's internal processes for cleansing the respiratory system.  Dry salt helps to remove build-up and foreign particles that cause various respiratory ailments, thus strengthening lung function.  Salt draws moisture to the surface of the skin, kills bacteria, reduces inflammation and stimulates micro-circulation resulting in clearer, healthier skin.

Salt therapy helps clear common skin conditions.

Salt Therapy

During a salt therapy session, pharmaceutical-grade salt is heated and ground into micro-particles and dispersed into an enclosed cabin by a halogenerator.  The client sits comfortably inside the cabin, fully-clothed, and inhales the salt air for approximately 25 minutes.  Salt that is not inhaled remans on the skin and helps to soothe many common skin conditions.  You will not see or smell the salt, nor will you noticed residue on your clothing.  You will taste salt on your lips and may see some accumulation of salt on surfaces within the cabin.
